Roof Repair

Why is my roof leaking?

Or any number of other questions. These are some common things we see, but whatever the issue, we can help.

Blown Off Shingles

It’s a little unsettling to look out you back window and see shingles laying in your yard. If it ever happens to you, just let us know and we’ll come patch it quickly and affordably. We can almost always find a shingle that matches your existing shingles, but you’ll probably still be able to see where we patched it because the new shingles won’t be slightly faded from the sun.

Degraded or Poorly Installed Flashing

We have found that most leaks are caused by degraded or improperly installed flashing. If you notice water stains on your ceiling or walls, just give us a call and we’ll come out and diagnose the problem for you – and get you on your way to a leak-free system.

Ice Dams

Having snow or ice sitting on your roof is usually not a problem, but it can be if snow melts off your roof too quickly. If the snow melts off your roof sooner than it does on houses nearby it usually means that your attic is warmer than it should be, which can be caused by heat leaking up into your attic or by poor attic ventilation. When your attic is warmer than it should be, the snow will melt faster, but can refreeze when it gets to the bottom edge of the roof on the overhang. The snow that has refrozen at the bottom edge of the roof can then becomes a dam which creates a small pool of water which will eventually find its way into your home.

Your Roof Isn’t Leaking – Your Wall is.

It’s easy to blame everything on the roof, but sometimes it’s just not the roof’s fault. On many split-level or two-story homes water can come in through siding, windows, or doors that are above the main level. These are the trickiest leaks to identify, but our skilled repairman are good and finding and fixing them.
